Are you hiring?

We aren’t. And trust me, you don’t want me as a boss. 🙃

What's the best way to reach you with questions?

Please email us at questions@thirdhousebooks.com after you've read the FAQs below if your question hasn’t been answered. You can also call us during open hours at 352-451-4953.

How can I buy a gift card online?

You can purchase Square gift cards here.

Do you have any book clubs?

It’s just me so unfortunately I don’t have the bandwidth to run book clubs with already running the store and planning special events. Our friend Mazzy hosts a cute, mostly romance themed book club at the store sometimes; you can find it on Instagram at @goodintentions352.

Are you accepting author submissions?

For submissions, please note that we are a radical, margins focused, small press loving bookstore that carries 300-400 books total. We have a strict criteria due to limited space and specialize in books on small presses and/or by BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodiverse, and disabled authors — especially those in Florida. We also spotlight books by UF MFA grads and beloved UF professors. All books must be available through Ingram distribution services. All authors must sign a consignment agreement. We are not responsible for books left without a consignment agreement.

What hours are you open?

We’re open 12-7pm Tuesday-Saturday. We have additional/special hours for events occasionally.

Your Indielite site says a book is ‘in stock.’ Is local pick-up available?

Our site has about 9 million books and the ‘In stock’ status is for a warehouse. We carry about 200-300 at our storefront, so there is a chance the title you’re looking for is not at our brick and mortar but we are happy to special order anything you’d like as long as it’s in print.
